"What’s great about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good. Liz Taylor knows it, the President knows it, the bum knows it, and you know it."
I kinda love all his quotes.
One day I will buy this print! Even if I don't need to have it.
I especially want this because if Coke still came in bottles, this is what Jake's study room would look like...he's just got cans. Unfortunately for my health I've also come to love Coke. It's probably thanks to Jake...and maybe Warhol too.
I really want to see the print you like but the pic doesnt show. Maybe its just my computer.
ReplyDeletehaha coke is sick..real sick, i have never liked it!!ok ok i love vanilla coke, in a bottle is the only way to go. My dad had a machine at his old store that dispensed glass bottles it was SO awesome, i wish i would have known that at the time..i was like 5 and i remember the pop guy bringing the bottles in these crate things, and the front of the machine had a bottle opener built into it..SO COOL!
ReplyDeleteYes I love coke, too. It's so... refreshing. I've switched to diet coke recently but prefer coke's taste for sure. I like Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe stuff. and that quote is a fun one I love it too. ok bye
ReplyDeleteby the way yes i do have two google accounts.
Huh. Jordy and I drank a lot of coke in Mexico! It's supposed to help protect the lining of your gut from unfriendly stuff - but we may have taken the habit a bit far. And down there, we'd always drink it from the old glass bottles (why does it taste so much better that way??). Love it. Good Mexican memories attached to coke for me...
