Jay-Oh-Bee.
I'm trying to figure out how to post online articles, embedding it, and pretending like I'm techy. So, I figured I may as well post it to the blog as a tester. Let me know if it works.
Anyway, this is what I worked on over the summer: The Viewbook. It's a info-catalog/booklet/lookbook for those highschoolers thinking of coming to USU who are sitting in a presentation with recruiters. I did a little of everything on it: concept, pre-shoot & plan the photoshoots, helped with text (mainly pertaining to the photos), overall design etc...
I really wanted to use more photography because the kids these days don't like reading if they don't have to. And...em...neither do I. As well as I wanted the photos to give the kids an idea of what it felt like to be on campus. In the past it's always just been cut-out students "standing" in front of an aerial shot of campus. I really wanted it to be somewhat clever/smart because kids coming to college should believe they will be learning something and becoming more brainy. I think the best marketing is a clever idea well executed. Just think of all the great beer commercials.
I've looked at it so much I can't tell if it's great or terrible though. Bleh.
Now you all have a better idea what I do from 8 to 5 everyday.
