In other news, I've picked up the reading habit again. I used to read like crazy as a kid. Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes, Pee Wee Scouts, Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary and after I read those a few times I even moved on to my sister's Babysitter Club books even though I didn't like babysitting. Then, I ran out of books and didn't make an effort to get more. A long time later I started reading Harry Potter, some fantasy books on Jake's recommendation and then nothing... until last week when I started Hunger Games that I borrowed from my sis. I accidentally stayed up until 4:30 finishing it. Then, two days later, I started and finished the next one. That's why I don't read. Because I'm an addict and can't stop until I finish.
You can't help it with Hunger Games. They are addicting. I have the same problem--only I'm getting old and have kids that make t staying up till 4:30 very regrettable.
ReplyDeleteBAH good choice. I was the same way with the hunger games. I started at 730 one sunday night after church and when 330 in the morning rolled around I was finished. I couldnt put it down. They are making it into a movie. I hope they dont choose someone terrible for the lead roll like kristen stuart. BLEK!

ReplyDeleteI totally hear you. I am reading the Mortal Instruments series right now, and I have decided to take a week off so I can have a life and my child can have a mother. I gave the book to Rhett and told him to hide it. You should join Goodreads!

Yeah- I'm glad you like them as much as me! I wish I could care about H.P. I can't seem to pick up the 2nd again (I'm 6 chapters into it). Last night I was bored out of my mind and couldn't bring myself to pick it up. I'm thinking it's time to return it to my friend and hope she'll still accept our friendship!

ReplyDeleteyes, i agree that hunger games is good. and i ESPECIALLY agree that you should take more pictures so that you can mess around with them. i love, love, love your style. and i wanna see more of it.

ReplyDeleteI've been reading a ton of non-fiction lately. I figured since I love reading so much might as well learn something while I'm at it. And it's not quite so addictive as novels. I highly recommend weekly trips to the local library for a healthy dose of a little of each.
I need some more crack then..hahah any recommendations. I love that pic..jake looks so um ..nice.
