It's a hard little world...

This post is devoted to American Idol. Yes, it's true. I love it. I feel somewhat ashamed at this fact... it's weird how the show can make me want to hide my love for it and proclaim it to the world at the same time.

At first I wanted these ones to win:

Unfortunately they all got kicked off early in the game.

Now I'm hoping for

I don't think I care who wins out of these two though.

I've thought long and hard about why I like it... normally I don't like reality shows. They're dramatic and weird. But after a particularly harsh critique at school I realized I love AMerican Idol so much because I feel there's strong similarities between it and school. Like the judges on AI, I never really know what my teachers are going to say. The really bad and the really good ones are obvious but the other ones are subjective and random and sometimes I wonder if they just make stuff up so they can have something to say. And if you do a bad job you can bet that the teacher/judge will chew you up and spit you out hard core in front of everyone.

But it's the way it is. It's a choice I made so it's my fault. And at the end of the day, it makes us (yes, I just put myself in the same category as the AI peoples) not care what other people think that much anyway.
